WEDNESDAY WALL OF FAME
It’s Wednesday and as usual it’s the day where we do our artist portrait. Today we wanted to talk about Vanessa Teodoro a Portuguese Lisbon based artist, born in South Africa. She is an illustrator and street artist with a background experience in advertising and graphic design. She is currently in China for an art residency.
Her characters are born from her everyday life influences such as graffiti, tattoos, african patterns and comic books. She especially likes painting strong female icons and witty colorful pieces with a lot of detail and movement.
Her style is defined by a complex battle between graphic patterns, figurative elements and strong colors, all with a touch of chaos and humor. She can do either very colorful work or minimalistic black and white lay out.
You want to follow her work ?
Wednesday wall of fame!
Today we introduce you to a Portuguese duo 2upla, created in 2016 by the artists @brunogiao and @lucianosilvantes.
Two artists from Lisbon, born in 1992 who met in primary school and from the beginning stayed good friends. Their first contact with graffiti happened by the age of ten, exploring abandoned buildings and unfinished houses.
For them, graffiti and street art come hand to hand, they can be mixed, they can cohabit and they can produce new concepts. Influenced by their studies in architecture and design they keep exploring new territories. Their work is a combination of objects, colors and shapes, including body parts like fingers, ears…

WEDNESDAY WALL OF FAME!
Because it was his birthday and because he made an amazing wall at Calçada da Gloria for the 25th April, today we talk about Dalaiama a Portuguese artist.
Have you seen his little pacman-lookalike already? He is absorbing euros and dollars and all kind of capitalistic elements that make this world a grey space. But then again he also spreads these peacebirds against guns, against wars, against violence. and now he made a big mural at calçada da gloria for dia da Liberdade ! Check it out !
