What do Queen Elizabeth II, controversial architecture and Portuguese history have in common?
Right! The National Coach Museum in Belem.
Housed in a contemporary concrete building I found the most incredible coaches. No wonder this contrast fueled heated discussions around Lisbon!
That aside, however, the museum was a place of awe while so closely linked to the country’s history, that it filled many gaps in my knowledge. Topped with funny anecdotes and a wonderful afternoon was served.
Read everything about the building, toilets and the Queen in the first part about my experience at the National Coach Museum on my blog and join me on one of my next visits! Thursday I will be at the National Ancient Art Museum, Friday at the Money Museum and Sunday at National Tile Museum.
See you soon in a museum around Lisbon!
