I went to to the Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva Foundation with a mission: get another less popular, less interesting museum off the list!
Well, I did! But I also learned that less popular doesn’t mean less interesting. In fact, laying eyes on the first paintings I forgot about my little mission. Instead I got sucked into the amazing collection of abstract works by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Arpad Szenes and a variety of other Portuguese artists.
A truly remarkable place, showing a great collection of different styles of 20th century art. It fascinated me that much, that I had to try speaking with someone from the administration of the foundation! Find out what that lead to in the full article on my blog.
This week you can join me and some friends at Museu do Oriente on Friday evening – very much looking forward to returning there – or at the Military Museum on Saturday afternoon. Then on Sunday it is your choice where we go 😉
