WEDNESDAY WALL OF FAME! This week we share with you the portrait of an artist we really like and support: Camilla Waston.
An English photographer who found her residence in Lisbon. She has a background in theatre photography and found her way towards portraits. Her permanent photographic prints on the walls of several neighbourhoods in Lisbon (Mouraria Portraits of Fado and Alfama Tributo). “My images remain focused on people, though today with a stronger emphasis on community.” Urban photography by highlighting the history of communities and people and how to keep them alive. These pictures were printed photographs directly on walls/wood in a self-made mobile and outdoor dark room around the piece of wall. She is known to explore in accessible and outdoorspaces which are integral to the community she is photographing. Experimenting on different surfaces like wood, walls and mosaic tiles.
